30A East
A delightful area to live, work, and play, the east end of Scenic Highway 30A features a diverse mix of coastal communities, which are rich with culture, art galleries, award-winning fine dining, casual beachside bars, performing arts, and more. Scenic Highway 30A meanders 24-miles of coastline and is home to 16 beach towns, including new urbanism towns of Seaside, Watercolor, Watersound, Alys Beach, and Rosemary Beach, which feature stunning architecture and master-planned community design. Many of the 30A communities have received accolades for their beaches, culinary offerings, and architecture, as well as luxury resorts and accommodations. Scenic 30A also features natural attractions and is home to the largest concentration of rare coastal dune lakes in the world. At the far east end of Scenic 30A, Inlet Beach is located in both Walton and Bay counties. Much of the land in Inlet Beach was distributed through a lottery system to World War II veterans and was sometimes known as “Soldier Beach” or “Veterans Beach.” Today, Inlet Beach is a growing beach town offering culinary delights, art galleries, interior design studios, diverse restaurants and much more.
