Point Washington is an unincorporated community in Walton County Florida. Point Washington is revered for its natural resources, including Point Washington State Forest and Eden Garden State Park, and is a site on the Great Florida Birding Trail. Point Washington State Forest is widely used for hunting, off-road bicycling, and hiking. The north edge of Point Washington runs along the Choctawhatchee Bay and South Walton’s beaches are just 5 miles to the south. An intracozstal waterway (aka “the ditch”) allows boaters access from the Choctawhatchee Bay to St. Andrews Bay in Bay County. Home to Eden State Gardens and the historic Westley Mansion built in 1896. Point Washington embodies a classic “Old Florida” feel with the beautiful beaches of Walton County just minutes away.
